Hangu (Pashto) is a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The district takes its name from the town of Hangu, which is its administrative centre. The name Hangu may also sometimes be applied to the Miranzai Valley which is partly within the district, bordering the Samana Range.

Climate

2. The climate of Hangu is referred to as a local steppe climate. During the year, there is little rainfall in Hangu. This climate is considered to be BSh according to the Köppen-Geiger climate classification. The average temperature in Hangu is 20.7 °C. In a year, the average rainfall is 536 mm.
3. The temperatures are highest on average in June, at around 31.1 °C. In January, the average temperature is 9.1 °C. It is the lowest average temperature of the whole year.
